David Buchler

With a career spanning 30 years, David Buchler is recognised as a leading practitioner in the field of corporate turnaround and restructuring. A former Arthur Andersen partner and founding partner of Buchler Phillips he was Chairman of Kroll Inc for Europe and Africa until 2003. His appointments have included cases on behalf of major banks, lawyers, accountants, the Courts and the Department of Trade and Industry. He is currently Chairman/Vice Chairman/Director of a number of public and private companies in the United Kingdom. He has been involved in a number of football club restructures during the 90’s and was Vice Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur FC for five years until 2006.

David is specifically recognised for his success in reorganising and restructuring companies. He was also responsible for representing Kroll's interest in the turnaround market in the UK and other parts of Europe.

He established DB Consultants in order to concentrate on turnaround assignments where a significant hands-on involvement at board or senior management level is required by people with the necessary experience and skills to manage a sustainable recovery. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Member of the Society of Turnaround Professionals and a former president of his professional body.
